爱自游 印尼巴淡岛两天一夜 Love Travel - Indonesia Batam Island 2D1N

Woke up early in the morning at 5.30am, just to prepare for the anticipated 2D1N trip to batam, indonesia, an island which just approx an hour away from Singapore via speedboat ride.

As our house is near to Harbourfront, we decided to take the bus from our house to harbourfront, and then proceed to the cruise center to exchange for our ferry tickets. Quite surprised when we reach batamfast counter whereby there's a long queue at around 7am in the morning !! Manage to get our tickets and proceed to checkin and wait for our boat which schedule to depart at 8.20am.

After approx 1 hour ride, we finally reach sekupang ferry terminal at batam, we took some pics and proceed quickly to the immigration clearence as it's a long queue as usual, once we got out from there, proceed to look for our tour guide and we been asked to take bus no.56. Waited approx 30 mins in the bus for all the remaining people to board and we start our tour.

This 2D1N tour looks more like a shopping tour rather than sight-seeing, as there's nothing much to see in Batam, in which is an industrial island. Our tour guide Heng was a funny guy who jokes around. The first stop we went to a chocolate store and bought some chocs, and then we went to Polo Ralph Lauren factory outlet, he bought a jacket for me as I will need that when we go to Perth next month. After that we proceed to a shop which sells otah, i can say the otah is very delicious, however we are advised not to buy as there's coconut milk in the ingredient in which it can't be kept overnight.

Once we had our yummy otah, we then goto visit diana cake house which sells homemade kuih lapis, we ordered a box of that, and then we proceed to have our lunch. We have a 7 course meal seafood lunch, the food doesn't taste that good and I doesn't eat much, we pay additional $15 for bird nest as desserts.

After lunch, it was raining outside, we skipped the go-kart racing tour, and just passby Mini Indonesia, and we go to a Chinese temple for prayers. After that, we goto some shops which sells dried seafood, followed by batik store. I bought some batik clothes for my parents.

Once all done , we went to Nagoya Hill, the largest shopping mall in Batam, according to Heng it's slightly small than Vivo City in Singapore, nothing to shout about inside, just a simple mall, we been given 1 1/2 hours here to shop, however we spend most of the time chilling at JCo. After that, the last event for today before we being send back to hotel is massage, which is a complementary 1 hour massage included in our tour package. The massage was nice however 1 hour is really not enough. We upgrade from javanese massage to aromatherapy with lavendar oil for $10 each.

After massage, we being send to our hotel - Harmoni One, the largest hotel and the newest in Batam with Greek architecture. The hotel looks grand and huge, our room is spacious with nice bathroom and day bed. After checking in, we explore the hotel facilities, and had our dinner buffet in the hotel. As the previous massage was not fullfilling, we decided to try the hotel massage, and we booked a 90 mins javanese massage (Initially we wanted a 3 hour one, however there's not avail). I was very happy with the massage and we give some tips to the masseur. That's the end of our first day in Batam and have a good night sleep.

The next morning, we woke up late and skipped the complimentary breakfast, instead we pay to have the dim sum buffet breakfast. After breakfast we pack up and wait for our bus to pick us up and send us to Batam Center ferry terminal, which is like 5 mins away from our hotel. As it's still early, we went to megal mall to stroll around and have our last JCo donut and frappe before proceeding to check in and board a ferry back to Singapore.

Cheers
